If you have special requirements, our experianced Design Team will assist you in finding a solution. Combined with our years of experience in product and medical device prototyping and manufacturing, we can provide you with reduced costs and a shorter manufacturing time to market.

Our Design Team can assist as an advisor or as a complete designer. If you are already part-way into a project and realise that the schedule is slipping, we can partner your designers.

We have an ISO 13485 Design Control System that all our work adheres to. If you have an ISO 13485 Design Control system we can work within it.

All of our design and development is carried out in house which allows for greater efficiencies when transferring projects from the Design Team into Manufacturing.

Our design team employ some of the most sophisticated computer aided design (CAD) software that generates and models the products. It is here where substantial time is spent perfecting the design.

:: Clinical Trials ::
Duckworth & Kent frequently produces product for our customer's clinical trials. Depending on the size and scope of the trial, we can manufacture a single lot of less than one hundred pieces up to multiple lots of several thousand units. As we have design control as one of the elements of our quality system, we can provide significant guidance and assistance in helping you work through this element of the development process. Duckworth & Kent can assist product specifications, validation protocols and assembly procedures and packaging specifications. We can also prepare component drawings, design labelling, perform risk analysis, facilitate failure modes effect analysis, assist with product validations, coordinate sterilization validation and structure and compile the design history file.
