By exploring advanced concepts and embracing new technology, Duckworth and Kent
has created an innovative range of vitrectomy instruments utilising the new ergonomic
handle design. From the surgeon's perspective, the transition to the new style will feel
both seamless and rewarding.
The new design features detachable tip heads for cleaning purposes. These tips can be screwed onto the threaded handle, a mechanism which eliminates the need for alignment when engaging the head onto the instrument handle.
The new retinal instruments are supplied complete (handle and head) in own specifically designed sterlising tray.
A titanium Protective Cleaning Cover (ref: 6-675) is used to protect the detachable tip heads during cleaning and reprocess cycles. A luer flushing adaptor at the back of the cover enables thorough cleaning and disinfection of the fine delicate tips. This product is not supplied with each instrument and must be order separately.
